Our Story

The Chicago Blue Line Support Foundation was founded in early 2024, driven by a deep personal commitment to shattering the silence surrounding mental health struggles within the law enforcement community. After witnessing first-hand the toll that trauma, stress, and isolation can take on police officers and their families, it became clear that a cultural shift was needed—one that encourages vulnerability, connection, and meaningful support. The Foundation was established to address this need, with a mission to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure that those who serve have access to the resources and support they deserve.

Our first official event—a wellness retreat held in April 2024—marked the beginning of this journey. Since then, our retreats have hosted over 50 officers, providing a supportive environment for them to decompress, reconnect, and heal.  Each retreat offers expert guidance from mental health and first responder professionals, providing practical strategies for personal growth, emotional recovery, and peer connection. The Foundation has also sponsored officers to attend local and national wellness conferences, expanding their access to specialized resources and support within the first responder community and beyond.

Looking ahead, we plan to enhance the retreat experience and expand our services to include substance abuse support and recovery resources. With the help of our generous donors, we hope to grow our impact and bring this vision to life—ensuring every officer has access to the support they need, when they need it most.

Retreat…Restore…Reconnect

The Chicago Blue Line Support Foundation provides confidential wellness retreats that give officers space to step away from the daily weight of the job, reconnect with themselves, and begin healing. Surrounded by nature and guided by mental health and first responder professionals, these retreats offer rest, resilience-building, and peer support—strengthening not only officers, but their families and the communities they serve.

  • Step away from the unrelenting stress of the job and find space to breathe.

  • Recharge in nature while guided by trusted mental health and first responder professionals.

  • Build resilience, strengthen peer support, and return renewed for yourself, your family, and your community.
